Agent Profile #7 - The Stepford Agent

We all know how crazy this Real Estate market has been and continues to be. ⠀ It’s awesome to be a seller (and listing agent) right now, but from the perspective of a home buyer and their agents, the current environment can be tough, emotional, and downright disheartening.🥴 ⠀ With every property attracting multiple offers, as listing agents, we get to experience a variety of different buyers’ agents who are submitting offers on behalf of their clients. 📜🖋💰 ⠀ Most of the buyers’ agents are professional, diligent, and are working hard to advocate for their clients. But every now and then, we get some, ehem, “characters”. 😆 ⠀ So, in an effort to bring some levity to this crazy situation, we decided to introduce some of those “characters” to you. Mind you, we greatly exaggerated our portrayal of these buyers’ agents, but if you listed properties in the past few months, you might recognize one or more of these types of agents. ⠀ Of course, any resemblance to actual agents is purely coincidental - or is it?! 😉

Agent Profile #6 - The Bragger Agent

Ever come across one of those agents? They know EVERYTHING, and are convinced that their offer is THE BEST out there. Of course, any resemblance to or with agents we know is purely accidental and certainly not intended, or is it? ;)

Agent Profile #5 - The Low Baller

Our “character #5” is an agent who is very laid back and very convinced that his offer will be accepted. I mean, what is the seller still waiting for, right? ;) ⠀ Of course, any resemblance to actual agents is purely coincidental - or is it?! 😉

Agent Profile #4 - the Secret Agent

Some agents don't feel it necessary to reach out to the listing agent prior to submitting an offer on behalf of their clients. We believe that is a mistake! Often, this initial conversation between listing and buyer's agent is key to find out a lot of pertinent information on both sides. As a buyer's agent, we can ask about the seller's situation, do they want a quick escrow, is a rent back required, etc. All this can help us in writing a more attractive offer. And as a listing agent, having a buyer's agent reach out to us means that this agent is doing his/her job and they set themselves apart from all the "secret" agents.

Agent Profile #3 - Speedy Eeddie

Our “character #3” is an agent who is very pushy, and wants an answer RIGHT NOW, and can’t seem to wait. Ever worked with someone like that? ⠀ Of course, any resemblance to actual agents is purely coincidental - or is it?! 😉
